The varsity volleyball team dropped a hard-fought four-set battle against Potterville tonight (16-25, 19-25, 25-21, 23-25), showing massive growth and relentless energy from start to finish. Despite the outcome, the match was a clear indicator of the program's upward trajectory, defined by incredible hustle and numerous "lightbulb moments" where the team's daily hard work truly clicked into place. Freshman Haerin Whitehead turned in a stellar, well-rounded performance to lead the squad, filling the stat sheet with 5 kills, 2 blocks, 13 assists, 10 digs, and 4 service aces. Sophomore Makenna Zervan provided a powerful presence at the net with 7 kills and a block, while senior Sierra Flannery showcased her veteran versatility by racking up 7 kills, 10 assists, and 14 digs. Junior Iris Echlin also stepped up big, contributing 3 kills and keeping Potterville off balance with 4 strong service aces. Every match is a stepping stone, and tonight proved that this team is getting better every single day. The girls will look to carry this amazing effort and momentum into the weekend as they travel to Perry for a tournament this Saturday.
