We showed meaningful growth at this weekend’s tournament following Tuesdays match with CSP. Although the tournament record didn’t go like we wanted the team competed into the final points against Strong opponents, including two close two point losses, 23-25 against East Lansing and 24-26 against host Perry who is coming off a four set victory over Pewamo Westphalia. The progress since Tuesday is measurable, team scoring has gone up per set from 7.3 points to 15.3 points and our hitting percentages also increased. Serving continues to be our strength with aces increasing to 2.8 per set. Weekend leaders were Sierra Flannery with 15 total points nine kills 26 digs and six aces, Haerin Whitehead with a team high 13 assists. Our next step is consistency, we intend to improve first ball passing, convert more swings into positive attacks and reduce extended opponent scoring runs the goal is to turn close sets we reached this weekend into complete execution and ultimately match wins.
