A Tale Of Two Halves

The Eagles came out strong, controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The defense was stingy, and offensively, Byron was able to run the ball effectively and consistently move down the field. Trailing 14-12 late in the first half, the Eagles had an opportunity to take the lead but came up just short after an interception in the end zone. Byron received the ball to start the second half and once again put together a methodical drive, reaching 1st-and-goal from the 5-yard line. Unfortunately, a fumbled exchange ended another opportunity to take the lead. From there, a few pre-snap penalties and mental mistakes shifted the momentum. The opponent took advantage, found some energy, and was able to pull away. There were plenty of positives to build on, but also a clear reminder of how important it is to capitalize on opportunities and eliminate the little mistakes. Back to work. Learn from it. Get better. Go Eagles!
