The Byron Girls Varsity Basketball team continued their fast start to the season moving to 6-0 after beating Montrose 62-31 on Friday Night. The girls opened up a 15-4 lead after the first quarter and were ahead 33-5 after halftime. Varsity Girls Coach Theresa Marvin had this to say following the game, "An incredible start to our season and I couldn't be happier for these girls. They are playing unselfish team basketball and the result has been one of the best starts in school history."

The Eagles had three players score 10 points or more and had eight out of the nine players on the team score at least 2 points in the game. Ashley Glass led all scorers with 16 points. She also recorded 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Riley Gadola had 15 points, 7 steals, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, Maylee Hatt had 11 points, Jessica Marvin had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists, and Madison Montgomery had 4 points and 5 rebounds.  

Byron's record is now 6-0 overall and 1-0 in the GAC Blue. They are off for Christmas break and return to play on 1/6 when they travel to Genesee for a GAC Blue conference matchup.
