The Byron Girls Varsity Basketball team beat Corunna on Tuesday February 21st by a score 45-38. This game was a battle featuring two of the best teams in the county and it did not disappoint. The game was back in forth all night with the Cavaliers leading 15-11 at halftime. The Eagles blew the game open in the 3rd quarter scoring 21 points and taking a 32-26 lead going into the 4th quarter where they would never trail again.
Leading the Eagles on offense was Ashley Glass who had 16 points, 2 steals and 2 assists. Maylee Hatt added 13 points and 5 rebounds, Jessica Marvin had 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Greta L’Esperance had 2 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Byron's record is now 15-4 overall and 7-1 in the GAC Blue. The Eagles finish their regular season by hosting Montrose at home this Friday.
