The Byron Girls Varsity Golf team competed against Webberville yesterday at Willowbrook Golf Course. The Eagles beat Webberville 208 to 222. Senior Madison Montgomery fired 46 to tie medalist honors for Byron with Becca Teed from Webberville. Junior Katie Nixon posted a 51, Lauren Viele carded a 54, and Jessica Marvin and Alexis DeHart both shot a 57. Byron improves to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The Byron golf team also held a JV match against Swartz Creek yesterday at Willowbrook. The Eagles beat Swartz Creek with a team score of 260. Junior Madison Pellman led the way with a 58, Sophomore Jennifer Buchinger shot a 59, Sophomore Lillian Williams shot a 71 and Sophomore Emma Cline shot a 72.
