The Byron Varsity Cross Country team competed in the Greater Flint XC Championships at Swartz Creek Golf Course on Tuesday. The Boys placed 2nd overall behind Montrose. Kyle Markley won the Division 3/4 race with a time of 17:30 and took home 1st team honors. Josh Bentley earned 11th place (19:39), McKoy Scribner earned 12th place (19:41). Both boys earned 2nd team honors.
The girls team took 3rd place overall behind Montrose and New Lothrop. Hunter Luke took 3rd place in the Division 3/4 race with a time of 20:52 and took home 1st team honors. Emily Williams took 7th place (22:40) earned 1st team honors and Alyssa Lane earned 9th place (23:13) and took home 2nd team Honors.
