Varsity Cross Country @ Shiawassee Co. Meet

The Byron Cross Country team competed at the Shiawassee County Championships on Saturday October 21st and it sure was it a great day to be a Byron XC Runner. The girl’s team beat out all of the competition and earned the title of Shiawassee County Champs!! In the 20 years that Coach Lake has been coaching cross country this has never been done. The boys finished in 3rd place beating out GAC rival New Lothrop and Hunter Luke is now the fastest female XC runner in Byron history with a time of 19:48!!
Overall Medalists for the Eagles were:

1st Team All-County - Hunter Luke (2nd place overall)

2nd Team All-County - Emily Williams (8th place overall), Kyle Markley (10th place overall), and Allissa Ash (12th place overall)

Honorable mention - Alyssa Lane, Olivia Krejci, Josh Bentley and McKoy Scribner.
