The Byron Girls Varsity Golf team competed at the MHSAA Regionals at Glenbrier Golf Course on Wednesday. The team finished in 6th place overall with a team score of 435. Senior Madison Montgomery shot a 93 and became the first Girls Golfer to make it to the MHSAA State Finals!!! Senior Jessica Marvin and Sophomore Alexis Dehart each shot a 112, Junior Katie Nixon shot a 118 and Freshman Lauren Viele shot a 119.

The Byron Girls Golf team hosted Durand at Willowbrook Golf Course on Tuesday. Durand won with a team score of 205 to 216. Junior Cierra Cole fired a 46 to earn medalist honors for Durand. Senior Madison Montgomery and Jessica Marvin both shot a 50. Junior Katie Nixon shot a 55 and Sophomore Alexis DeHart shot a 61. Byron’s overall Record is 8-3.

The Byron Girls Golf team hosted the GAC Postseason Tournament at Willowbrook Golf Course on Friday September 23rd. Senior Sydni Harding of Goodrich fired an even par round of 72 to capture Medalist honors.  Durand was led by Senior Paige Deisler with an 86, Byron was led by Senior Madison Montgomery who posted a 94, Bendle was led by Lindsey Ferrington who shot a 102, Corunna was led by senior Ave Ringheisen who carded a 101 and Webberville was led by Emily Wisuri who shot an 86.   Goodrich was named the top overall team in the GAC for the 2nd time. The Varsity Girls golf team continued their winning ways against Linden at Willowbrook Golf Course on Wednesday. The girls beat Linden with a team score of 215 to 259. Madison Montgomery shot a 50 to earn medalist honors. Jessica Marvin and Katie Nixon both carded a 53, and Alexis DeHart shot a 56 to round out the scoring for the Eagles. Byron improves to 7-2 on the season!

The Girls Varsity Golf team beat Perry for the first time in program history!!! The Girls Golf team was started 4 years ago by head coach Paul Montgomery and are off to their best start yet. The Eagles won with a team score of 230 to Perry's 237. Senior Madison Montgomery earned medalist honors shooting a 50, Senior Jessica Marvin shot a 57, Sophomore Alexis DeHart shot a 60 and Junior Katie Nixon shot a 63. The Eagles improve to 6-2 on the season.

The Byron Girls Varsity Golf team competed against Webberville yesterday at Willowbrook Golf Course. The Eagles beat Webberville 208 to 222. Senior Madison Montgomery fired 46 to tie medalist honors for Byron with Becca Teed from Webberville. Junior Katie Nixon posted a 51, Lauren Viele carded a 54, and Jessica Marvin and Alexis DeHart both shot a 57. Byron improves to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play.   The Byron golf team also held a JV match against Swartz Creek yesterday at Willowbrook. The Eagles beat Swartz Creek with a team score of 260. Junior Madison Pellman led the way with a 58, Sophomore Jennifer Buchinger shot a 59, Sophomore Lillian Williams shot a 71 and Sophomore Emma Cline shot a 72.

The Girls Varsity Golf team took on Owosso at Willowbrook Golf Course on Wednesday August 31. Senior Madison Montgomery fired a personal best of 42 to earn medalist honors and lead the Eagles to a 209-224 victory over Owosso.  Senior Jessica Marvin carded a 52, followed by Junior Katie Nixon who posted a 57, Senior Elizabeth Williams and Sophomore Alexis DeHart both shot a 58. Owosso was led by Morgan Hebekeuser who posted 51 and Kennedy Krantz who shot 54. Byron moves to 4-1 overall on the season.

The Girls Varsity Golf team hosted their first home match of the season last night at Willowbrook Golf Course. While battling the thick swarms of mosquitoes the girls managed to beat Corunna with a team score of 210. Senior Madison Montgomery took medalist honors by posting a 48, Senior Jessica Marvin carded a 50, Sophomore Alexis DeHart posted a 55 and Junior Katie Nixon added a 57. Senior Ava Ringheisen led the way for Corunna posting a 49. The Byron Eagles improved to 3-1 on the year.

The Byron Varsity Girls Golf team took 2nd place at Atlas Valley Country Club yesterday during a GAC Conference match vs. Goodrich and Webberville. The final team scores for the day were Goodrich with a 176, Byron with a 221 and Webberville with a 230. Sydni Harding of Goodrich led all golfers with a 39 while Webberville's Emily Wisuri posted a 48 to lead the Spartans. Senior Madison Montgomery posted a 53 to lead Byron. Alexis DeHart carded a 55, Jessica Marvin shot a 56 and Elizabeth Williams shot a 57 to round out the scoring for the Byron Eagles who are now 2-1 on the season.  

The Byron Girls Varsity Golf team won their first conference match of the year on Tuesday August 23, 2016. The Eagles beat Bendle with a team score of 210 to to 225. Byron was led by senior Jessica Marvin who carded her career best 47 to earn medalist honors. Senior Madison Montgomery fired a 49 and Junior Katie Nixon and Sophomore Alexis DeHart both posted 57 to jump start Byron to a 1-0 record. Bendle was led by Sidney Malin who posted 51 and Lindsay Ferrington who shot 52.   The Eagles next travel to Atlas Valley Country Club on Wednesday August 24th to take on Goodrich.
